Handmade Christmas Card Design Ideas

'Tis the season.... for Christmas Cards! We all receive tons of cards at this time of year, but the ones I treasure most are the ones the sender took the time to make by hand. Handmade cards say so much more than store-bought cards. A handmade Christmas Card shares a little of your passion for paper crafting, along with a whole lot of love and friendship. And they are the perfect way to use up your scrapbooking scraps! Our City Planners have been hard at work creating all kinds of cards to inspire you. I am especially pleased to share with you Joanne's creations... we are so thrilled to have her sharing her beautiful designs again! She and the rest of the City Planners have come up with some beautiful ways to send your loved ones Christmas Wishes. I am in love with the way Cindy used Frills self-adhesive ribbon to create a Christmas tree. And Rachael's round card with tulle is so beautiful it looks like it should be hung on a Christmas tree!

We are pleased to introduce Jennifer Wellborn as our Honorary City Planner! Her beautiful Christmas Card designs jumped out of the gallery at me and I just had to include them in this feature.

a note from Jennifer....

My name is Jennifer, and I began scrapping about nine years ago. I know that sounds like the confession of an addict, and well, it is. Although I also enjoy reading and primitive stitching, scrapbooking is my primary activity, and I tend to work on at least one project a day. I currently teach and design pages for Deluxe Designs, which is a very fun and interesting job to have, and I write a monthly scrapping article for a local magazine. My husband and I live in Las Vegas, where we homeschool our six kids. I am active in my church, where I am in charge of activities for the 8-11 year old girls twice a month. Life is very busy, but incredibly rewarding. Being chosen as an honorary city planner was a huge surprise for me, so I would like to say thank you to Tana for this privilege!
