According to an article by David Page
in the June/July 2006 issue of Scrapbook Retailer, the scrapbooking
world is on the brink of entering into a revolution similar to the late
19th century Arts and Crafts movement. Or, more specifically, a return
to hand-crafted quality. In scrapbooking and other papercrafts,
stylish doodling and do-it-by-hand penmanship are playing a major role in
this comeback. Handwritten script makes an elegant, heartfelt
statement that's sure to stand the test of time. Casual scrawls and
artistic shapes add whimsical yet familiar touches to everyday
pages.
So grab a pen, marker, paint brush,
colored pencil or other writing instrument of your choice and give it a
whirl. Handwrite something...anything! Doodle a little or
doodle a lot. Use a ruler to keep things in line or simply let
go and freeform it. To help get you started, here are some fresh
ideas from the City Planners. Visit the post
office and museum
