Every good structure starts with a good set of blueprints and it's no different in scrapbooking. In this feature, one of our City Planners shares a sketch
she created and demonstrates how she used it to create a layout. Then it's your turn!
Get out your hard hat and your tools and use
this blueprint to create a layout of your own. Upload your page to the Blueprints floor
of the museum and you could win a prize! At the end of the month, all the layouts are entered into a drawing for a $10 gift
certificate to the General Store.
This month our Featured Architect is
Rachael Emmertson. Her Blueprint incorporates photos, a title,
journaling, and embellishments into two columns -- like a blog! This basic sketch allows ample room for you to
leave personal creative touches throughout.

Below is a layout that Rachael created based on
her sketch. Note the ways in which she kept to the original design,
as well as the ways in which she deviated from it.

In addition to her Blueprint, Rachael
used
BasicGrey
paper and embellishments,
Bazzill
Basics paper and Making
Memories ribbon to create her layout.
