Inspire – |inˈspīr|verb [ trans. ] fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, esp. to do something creative.
What inspires you? Is it family? an inner desire for something? ideas you see in a magazine? All the above ? other? (share with us)
My inspiration from the world around me comes from every day things I see. As I mentioned in a Scrapvillage posting in March I see scrapbooking in everything I do – it could be a sign on a street, a tablecloth in a restaurant or a pattern on a shirt. Right now I have a Target ad sitting on my scrap table just waiting to be copied as a LO idea and my new spring kitchen towels are the perfect background for a little girl LO.
This morning my daughter came downstairs wearing this shirt and I instantly thought …. what a great idea for a scrapbook layout. The shirt is pink with a pink logo on it full of many textures and colors. I copied the colors and used the for my background paper and my heart. The buttons, flowers and hearts add great color to the shirt which I mimicked the decorated heart with brads and flowers. So my challenge for you is to find a piece of clothing that inspires a scrapbooking idea in you, post the clothing item with so we can see your inspiration. Open those closet doors and start hunting for great ideas!
Happy Scrapping!
Eileen
