5. Use the outer face rim to trace a circle of paper that you will cut out and glue 
over the face of the clock. Also mark the center of the circle with a small dot.

   
6. Using the small dot as a guide, cut out a circle where the clock hands will poke through.
You will be able to see this circle on the front of the finished product so make it neat.
I traced a small circle using a Coluzzle template. 

   
7. Glue the paper onto the clock face using a non-liquid adhesive. 
At this point, you may choose to lightly mark where the numbers will go with a pencil.

    

8. Decorate the clock to your liking. However, don't use anything bulkier than chipboard --

9. Once your clock is decorated, carefully put the hands back on.  
The hour hand goes on first, then the minute hand, and the second hand last.
