|From "Fix it and Forget it Lightly".
1 1/2 lb round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into small strips
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt (I omitted this, and didn't miss it a bit)
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
10 3/4 oz. can 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water (I thought it was a bit thin... next time I'm going to omit this and see if it's juicy enough)
8 oz. pkg fat free cream cheese, cubed
Mix steak with flour, pepper, salt and garlic. Combine with onion, soy sauce, bouillon, soup, and water in slow cooker. (A little secret: I just lumped it all together in the crock pot.) Cook on low 6-7 hours.
Add cream cheese cubes last 30 minutes of cooking.
Serve over cooked wide noodles.
Supposedly 10 servings, 140 cal per serving, 4.5 g fat
(I subbed some fat free sour cream and some regular cream cheese for the fat free stuff. Obviously a little more fat in mine yesterday, but it was yummy, and I'm sure it's not because of the fat in the cream cheese!)
