When I tried to visit the Village this a.m., I got a message that the domain had expired on 09/05/2010 and had to be re-registered. Was this an actual problem or something that's just happening to me? I was able to come here fine on my work computer this evening.

it happened to me too! probably just a mess up with the holiday weekend! but I am sure glad we are back!
